Which SSK035 Are You Getting? (J1 vs. K1 Explained)
Seiko makes the SSK035 in two official versions:

SSK035J1 – Japan-made version. Assembled in Seiko’s Japanese facilities. Often marked “Made in Japan” on the dial or caseback. These tend to be priced slightly higher due to their origin and collectibility.

SSK035K1 – Export version. Assembled in Seiko-owned facilities outside Japan (commonly Malaysia). Identical in design, movement, and quality to the J1, but usually sold at a lower price point.
Both versions use the same Seiko 4R34 automatic GMT movement, same case (42.5 mm), same bracelet, and same Sprite-style design. The only real differences are:
